Those very tricky "unwanted" gifts...
This topic is very sticky.... Meaning we tip toe around the subject of the gifts we receive that we do not like or may not use. With this situation I think it's a personal choice. I believe it's always a good idea to keep the gifts around for a bit. I have had situations where you think you might not like a particular gift or may never use it, but all of a sudden out of the blue a use for it pops up and I am glad that I received it. Gift giving does not have to be a deep conversation... And in the end remember "gift giving and the thought that is involved is what counts"

Now that the Holiday season is upon us, I often feel that we as a society in our "new age lives" have lost the art of thoughtful gift giving. Gift giving is and should be a thoughtful process about the recipient of the actual gift. After working retail for several years, I am often surprised that people give gifts according to what they "like" instead of what the recipient wants or would like. If it's on a gift registry it means they like it and want it... Sorry to say it really does not matter if you yourself like it. I leave you with this thought... Who ever is left on your Holiday gift list, before you just purchase anything on a whim... Take a few minutes to think about that person first and what he/she may like to receive.... Happy Holidays!
